Camping

They jumped in the canoe as soon as we got there.
Bryson and Ben on the tube.

Christian's REAL smile. He is anticipating getting on the inner tube.
Skylar and Christian tubing.

Clint could not be thrown off. He is a mad man.
May I introduce you to our studly driver: My Husband.
Cousins

Jack would not go any deeper than this. This kid is scared of water as of this summer. Silly boy, water is for kids!

Ben is passed out. Uncomfortably laying over the chair and his brother Jack.
Everyone loves a good crackling camp fire.

Just a little coloring in the camper. Quiet time is nice time.

This was our first camping experience at Arrowhead Park. We had an AWESOME campsite and the grounds were well taken care of by the O.C.D. grounds keeper. Cleanest place we've ever been to. In fact, I would have been just fine not wearing my flip flops in the bathhouse...but I did.

We caught some fish on a trot line and a few turtles. Aaron caught a huge soft shelled snapping turtle, killed it, and cooked it. Yep, our boys were all up in that chain of events. It was quite gross. The turtle was chewy and tasted like chicken (so I was told).

Oh, a few things to mention here: this was our first run with the "fixed up" camper. We didn't have running water. The shower, toilet, stove, and oven weren't functioning yet. The air conditioner works REALLY REALLY well. It fell off the jack stands 2X while we were trying to do adjustments. I was inside the camper the first time and almost peed my pants. We had a tire slide off the axle a bit so had to make repairs while we were there. Other than that, it was so totally cool.  I'm all about camping with a pull behind camper. The kids thought it was great and cried when we had to pack up and go home.
