Howard Hill Bow Shoot

After looking at these pictures, we noticed that the boys need new bows. Well, I notice. Apparently Aaron already knew that. I'm not very attentive.( They are overdrawing their bows BIG TIME.)

Parker's state while we slung some arrows.
MY ROBING HOOD!
Jack didn't want his picture taken.
We camped out for this event also. This would be our 2nd time using the camper. Some unfortunate events took place in our efforts to get there.

1. We left about 4 hours later than we wanted to. It was pouring rain and our sump pump at our house failed to work and Aaron was vacuuming the water our of our basement.
2. Complete and total blowout tire on the camper. Aaron had to strap the axle up and nurse us to the Wal-Mart parking lot BECAUSE roadside assistance was 1 arm, 2 legs, and your 1st born. We got the "I don't want to do it" price because it was 10:00pm. So frustrating.
3. Aaron was changing out the tires in the middle of the Wal-Mart parking lot.  Sweet manager was kind enough to open the tire center so we could buy 4 tires, tools, air compressor, and Vaseline CHEAPER than the road side assistance man was going to charge us for 1 tire.
4. Rolled into the campground at 3:00am
5. Finished Setting up camp and crawled into bed at about 4:00am
6. Woke the next morning to find out that the site had be reserved for a vendor and we had to pack up and move. SERIOUSLY! They need a sign.

My sweet, precious, and awesome husband was so diligent in getting us to our destination. Truly, I wanted to turn around and go home, leaving the camper on the side of the interstate with it's stupid blown out tire and all. The kids pretty much slept through the whole thing.

ONE MORE THING!!!! CHRISTIAN GOT 2ND PLACE IN HIS AGE GROUP!!! HIS PLAQUE JUST CAME IN THE MAIL!!! WE ARE SO PROUD OF THIS LITTLE ARCHER!!!  MORE PICTURES TO COME OF HIM HOLDING HIS PLAQUE.

They jumped in the canoe as soon as we got there.
Bryson and Ben on the tube.

Christian's REAL smile. He is anticipating getting on the inner tube.
Skylar and Christian tubing.

Clint could not be thrown off. He is a mad man.
May I introduce you to our studly driver: My Husband.
Cousins

Jack would not go any deeper than this. This kid is scared of water as of this summer. Silly boy, water is for kids!

Ben is passed out. Uncomfortably laying over the chair and his brother Jack.
Everyone loves a good crackling camp fire.

Just a little coloring in the camper. Quiet time is nice time.

This was our first camping experience at Arrowhead Park. We had an AWESOME campsite and the grounds were well taken care of by the O.C.D. grounds keeper. Cleanest place we've ever been to. In fact, I would have been just fine not wearing my flip flops in the bathhouse...but I did.

We caught some fish on a trot line and a few turtles. Aaron caught a huge soft shelled snapping turtle, killed it, and cooked it. Yep, our boys were all up in that chain of events. It was quite gross. The turtle was chewy and tasted like chicken (so I was told).

Oh, a few things to mention here: this was our first run with the "fixed up" camper. We didn't have running water. The shower, toilet, stove, and oven weren't functioning yet. The air conditioner works REALLY REALLY well. It fell off the jack stands 2X while we were trying to do adjustments. I was inside the camper the first time and almost peed my pants. We had a tire slide off the axle a bit so had to make repairs while we were there. Other than that, it was so totally cool.  I'm all about camping with a pull behind camper. The kids thought it was great and cried when we had to pack up and go home.

Fishing with the Fam

Wren caught the first fish.
Jacks caught a little cutie! (He peed in his shorts, filling his boots too. I wrapped a baby blanket around him so he wouldn't be bare bottomed)
Uncle Josh caught a fish.
Cyndi's fish. She didn't want to touch it. Ha!
Cousin Bryson's fish.
Momma Beth's Happy place. This woman loves some fishing.
Aunt Kari's fish. She didn't want to touch hers either.
No fish for Christian.
No fish for Ben.

Parker loved being snuggled by Jolie. Wren in the back ground - photo bomber.

We all got together and went fishing for Big Poppa's Birthday. Big Poppa loves these kiddos. He is a good grandpa and we are blessed to have him.

Very serious about his wii game. The costume makes him play better.
Watching brothers

One of my favorite things about summer: swimming. However, I could pass on getting in a swimsuit. Mommy of 4 babies...this body is ravished.

The kids come running when they hear the kitchen aide whipping it up.
