Just wondering...

Christian has been infatuated with Heaven here lately. (I'm infatuated with Heaven) It's difficult for a 4 year old to grasp it. Has been asking me questions like:

"Mom, will there be food in Heaven?" You know, the kind of food I LIKE?"
(That means drumsticks and Macaroni-N-Cheese)

"What about toilets?" "What do I do if I have to go to the bathroom?"

"I don't want to go there, Mom. I want to stay with you, right here, forever!"

"Are there animals in Heaven?" "What about toys to play with? Like, cars and stuff?"

Today I heard him shouting at Ben, telling him that "God says that he has to share that toy."

He also drew a burning bush and exclaimed it to be the one Moses saw, BUT IT DIDN'T BURN UP BEN!!! BEN?!!! Did you hear me, Ben? Ben has a bad habit of ignoring him, about 87% of the time. Ha, these boys are hilarious! I'm excited to see how Jack is going to interact with them.

Grandma made sure that they stayed hydrated.

This is an annual event a nearby town hosts every year. We donated a lot of signs and had a booth set up. Pappy and Grandma kept the boys that day and took them around to all of the inflatables. They loved it. It was definately a HOT summers day, but they had fun.

We Heart Dirt

Every year I have high hopes for our apple tree. In the fall they turn a nice red color followed by persistent little worms. I always forget to spray it during the spring....

J.A.M.

J.A.M. is an acronym for Jesus and Me - A program for the smaller children at our Church. We took this at our local and "famous" Peach Park. The kids have always loved mounting up on these plastic horses. There is a cow there too!

End of the Season T-Ball Party

Deep down I was very happy to see the season come to an end. Kudos to you Moms out there that do this faithfully every year. I think having an infant at the games creates a different experience for me.

Christian LOVES his trophy. He loves to be praised for his accomplishments -who doesn't! Normally, we really have struggles with learning to let someone else be first, to win, and be humble. Example of competitive nature: he is very disturbed that his 8 year old cousin can out run him. Thankfully, he didn't care that his team lost (repetitively). I don't think he grasped the whole concept, but he learned a lot about baseball. We are very proud of him, and can't wait until next season (kidding).

"Sunday Best"

Ben was being super silly. He just could not give me his real smile. What handsome little stud muffins!

Momma Beth purchased these little outfits for the boys right before Easter. They look like little men in them! Little men...sniffle.

Thank you Momma Beth. The boys still sneak out their clip ties and wear them around the house with a t-shirt. My fashion gurus.

MothersDay

I made these markers for Mom to stick in her garden. They turned out so cute, but we'll have to see how they hold up. I love you Mom! In the words of Ben "Your the Best!"

5 Boys

I wouldn't have believed it if you told me that five little boys can fit in a sand box and still have enough space to play with the sand!

Our bridge just down the road is under construction. The boys were fascinated with it so we walked down there to get a closer look.

...and a closer look. I don't know any little boy who can look at a stream and keep from throwing rocks in it. Thankfully, due to the construction, there were plenty of HUGE rocks to choose from. We also had a nice selection of broken glass, re-bar and other various metal scraps at our fingertips. No stress. No stress at all.

Are Wednesday nights hard for anyone else? To get my three children to Church on time is a task. Oh, but to get 5 boys to Church on time is a feat. Everyone was clean and had full tummies. I got them all loaded in my car, hopped in, and surprise - DEAD BATTERY! Argh! We all got outand waited on Aaron to get home to assist. Everyone helped push the car within jumper cable reach of another vehicle. We missed Church completely and ended up playing baseball in the front yard instead.

As I had mentioned before in a previous post, my nephews school was destroyed and so they came to stay with us for a week. Also, they didn't have a gift for their Mom for Mothers Day. We decided to make stepping stones. I think she liked them. We tried to use the ones our two boys made in one of the flower beds but they broke. Some stepping stones those turned out to be!!! Kari, I hope yours didn't break. You probably have yours stashed away in a memorabilia box somewhere...I should have done the same.

The week went really well. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect with 5 boys, but they were all really good. Now I know that I can handle 5 children if the Lord sees fit (although I selfishly hope he does NOT see fit).

Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns is an amazing Christian band who originally came from Alabama. Once they heard about about the tornadoes effect on our state they wanted to come and do "something." So they packed up and headed to Cullman, AL to perform live for the people in this area free of charge. What an awesome God thing! We were there with Aarons family during that time and got to witness the town come together in a field, broken hearted, discouraged, confused, and desperate, but joined together to worship the One True Living God. It was amazing. You will notice that everyone has their hands lifted toward heaven in praise. Talk about praising God in your trials!!!!
